'MGS4' Xbox 360 'speculation' says Konami
Friday, June 1 2007, 10:44 BST
By David Gibbon, Gaming Reporter
Following a plethora of online reports claiming that Metal Gear Solid 4 will be released on Xbox 360, publisher Konami refused to be drawn into the debate.
It was previously reported that a number of online sites, including Xboxliveaddicts, claimed that Konami's stealth epic had been confirmed for release on Microsoft's console.
But after Digital Spy approached Konami for their reaction to the online reports, the firm would neither deny or confirm the claims and said it was all simply "speculation".

Kojima confirms: Metal Gear Solid 4 will be PS3 exclusive
by GamePro Staff | 04/05/2007 |
Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima simultaneously appeases Sony's fanboys and disappoints Microsoft's by stating that MGS4 will remain PS3-exclusive.
By Eugene Huang
Gaming blog Kotaku recently caught up with Hideo Kojima, the brains behind the influential Metal Gear series, shortly after his keynote address at last week's GO3 expo in Perth, Australia. Although both Kojima's speech and the subsequent interview run across the whole gamut of Kojima's development experience, Kotaku still managed to focus on the question that has been plaguing the minds of PS3 and Xbox 360 fanboys alike:
Will Metal Gear Solid 4 remain PS3 exclusive?
To answer this question, Kojima, perhaps appropriately, equated the three next gen systems to a moviegoing experience.
"The PS3 is like the theatre, it's a little bit high-priced but it has to be high quality as well," he explained. "The 360 is a DVD, it still needs to be high quality but you need more variations, while the Wii is almost like a TV channel, because every game you have is with your family".
So how does this relate to PS3 exclusivity, you may ask? When the subject changed to Devil May Cry 4 going multiplatform, Kojima knew exactly where the conversation was going.
"[L]ike I said, MGS4 is aimed for the movie theatre, it's aimed for the PS3, so the game's scenario and graphics need this theatre-type hardware," Kojima responded. "It's when a producer has a game that can work on the 'DVD level' that a game will go multiplatform."
Kojima also stated his belief that any decision made regarding a particular game's multiplatform status is mostly the decision of the game's producer.
The interview also touched on several other hot topics, including motion sensing versus rumble. Kojima stated that he would prefer to include force feedback, and because of the recent settlement between Sony and Immersion, that may be possible. However, he calls the possible implementation of rumble a "race against time", depending on how soon Sony brings forth a controller that once again includes rumble technology.
But Kojima fans also wanted to know if MGS 4 would truly be his last Metal Gear game. In response, Kojima stated:
"If users want more Metal Gear, then I will probably step up as producer, like the James Bond series does. That way I can have new, upcoming directors making MGS while I oversee the project, and then perhaps I can move onto something new."

et sincerement dans les conditions decrites ici "Konami ensures that the Xbox 360's console limitations in processing power and disc space will not compromise the final product on the PS3, and development resources would not be split between consoles, meaning that the PS3 version would be able to preserve its exclusive release date."
je trouve cela parfait.
Metal Gear Solid 4 devs maintain laser-focus on PS3

A representative of Konami's Kojima Productions states that any future plans to port Metal Gear Solid 4 to the Xbox 360 will not hinder the release of the PlayStation 3 version.
By Eugene Huang
Rumors regarding Metal Gear Solid 4's platform-exclusive status with the PS3 may be running wild across the internet, but this console generation's most heated debate may have already been rendered moot. According to the latest Kojima Productions Report podcast, International Manager Ryan Payton spoke with 1up in regards to the much-ballyhooed next-gen title.
Although Payton did not tip his hand by revealing whether or not MGS 4 would be coming to the Xbox 360, the Kojima Productions rep did state that, even if the team announced a 360 version, the PS3 version wouldn't be affected in the slightest.
"I can tell you honestly at this point, we have not changed the game in any form with the idea of 'oh, we got to do this on 360,'" Payton states 14:40 into the podcast. "Put aside whether or not we're developing for 360 or not, the game is built on the PS3 hardware, as you guys have known for the past two years or so."
In essence, Konami ensures that the Xbox 360's console limitations in processing power and disc space will not compromise the final product on the PS3, and development resources would not be split between consoles, meaning that the PS3 version would be able to preserve its exclusive release date.
Of course, the actual release date of the game is still open for speculation. While some observers fear that the game will be delayed until next year, others are certain that it will be in stores before the end of 2007. Payton could confirm neither of these theories, merely stating, "We're working hard on it."

Pour résumer : l'exclusivité tombe mais cela n'aura pas d'impact sur la date de sortie et sur la qualité du titre sur PS3.
MGS4 devrait donc voir le jour sur 360 quelques mois après la PS3
