http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthre ... ost8787909I learnt something new and VERY interesting yesterday.
I was in Magnolia at Best Buy and the salesman (who was very knowledgeable) was demo'ing the Pioneer BD player to me.
GUESS WHAT? No 1080p24!!
He said they haven't gotten that bit working yet, since this wasn't the final release model. They are "hoping" to have it fixed for 24p this year.
The Pioneer display they had it connected to was a 1080p Pioneer Plasma that could do 24p.
I think the reason for the Pioneer's delay is the same reason that the XA2 is slow coming - the decoder chip makers are working out the final bits for the 1080p24.
When you look at the situation, the Pioneer is the TOP-of the line Bluray Player - at $1,500...
And the XA2 will match it, feature for feature, at about half the price. Less, even, then the other $1,000 Bluray players.
And yes, I was at a discounter store yesterday and saw a bunch of Samsung players for under $500 - but who would buy one even at that price when it doesn't have DD+, TruHD OR DTS-HD...?
donc les modèles de démo ne le font pas encore mais les prods sortiront le 24p (comme le EX1 devrait le faire normalement mais c'est une autre histoire).
Hehe, je viens de voir ça!
Cela confirme mes soupsons! Je parie que c'est une SMP8634 dedans! et donc pas de 1080p24 en sortie!
