Bonjour,
I bought a DVD player OPDV971H-EU in March 2006, it was a part of a grouped order for french customers (forum homecinema.fr).
My player fell out of order and I do not manage to find an invoice (I am not sure to have had one as my Oppo player was bought in a grouped order???).
The problem with the player is that it remains bloqued when switched on. It's only possible to enter and go out of the sleep mode. Impossible to open the disc tray, front display window remains black, and no signal to the outpout (black screen on the TV).
It arrived from day to day, without particular manipulation.
Could you tell me where it could be sent for repairing, and approximately what price it will cost ?
As my TV is HD Ready (Sony KDF-A50E11 1280x720), I think it is usfull for me to repair my 971h than to get a new 981h.
Thanks for your support.
Réponse deLivingcinema.nl :Hi,
The player can still be nice, but you paying 24euro to send back and me for 24 back to you leaves some euros difference to a new working one.
I do not have enough parts for this particular player. (I have some, but not enough to promise repairing)
If you want to risc it send pback to us by mail (no courrier) revodesign pobox 331, 3700AH Zeist pays Bas.
But if you want, I can also try to make you a deal on a silver 981h or maybe (I need to ask) black hd981h.
Réponse de Oppo Digital :Please try the following:
1. Physically disconnect the OPPO DVD player from the power source for no less than 15 minutes. Press the Power button on the front panel for 3 seconds.
2, Reconnect the power directly to your walled power outlet, bypassing any power switch or conditioner.
Attempt playback again. If your unit still does not properly operate, then your unit will likely need to be recalled for repair servicing.
In this event, you will need to contact OPPO.SE (
INFO@OPPO.SE) and inquire about their warranty services.
Best Regards,
